smartXcare 2023 - Innovative, Digital, Connected

On November 9th, a transformative event took place: The smartXcare 2023 at the Karl Storz Visitor and Training Center in Berlin. This gathering united industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore the impact of digitalization on nursing and treatment, and its role in enhancing patient care efficiency and quality.

Our partners showcased their innovative digital solutions in the smartXcare showroom. Notable participants included Dräger Medical Germany, VAR Healthcare, Roche Diagnostics Germany, Isansys Lifecare Europe, Alphatron Medical, Konica Minolta, decide Clinical Software, and 3M Germany. Their demonstrations showed how digital tools can modernize standards of care. A key topic of discussion was electronic patient documentation, with the international FHIR standard highlighted as essential for a platform-independent and interface-driven healthcare future.

We emphasized the importance of forging strong partnerships to unlock potential, create comprehensive solutions and bring to life our vision of an intelligent hospital unit, the "Smart Ward". The Smart Ward concept is designed to streamline nursing processes and improve collaboration within healthcare teams.

A consistent vision permeated the event: Healthcare empowered by intelligent, open, and interoperable systems. These systems’ open interfaces not only allow for the integration of external systems but also facilitate seamless incorporation into existing workflows.
